The EasyCare F250 Highboy by PRD Design

The EasyCare F250 Highboy! Check out our latest build to come out of the shop at PRD Design. Brycen and the team were on a mission to show that even an old fire apparatus can be transformed into a bitchin' resto-mod highboy. The truck is owned by Garrett Ford, and after landing the truck in early 2022, he commissioned Brycen to give it a new lease on life. The decision was made to fit it with all the driveability comforts that ensure it is suited for life in the Colorado mountains.
A Gen 2 Coyote engine and 6R80 transmission were used while the rest of the drivetrain was updated and upgraded to match, including a custom transfer case, all-new gears with limited slip differentials, and 4-wheel disc brakes.
The EasyCare highboy is also fitted with upgrades like an electric power brake booster and master cylinder, electric power steering, an American Autowire harness, Vintage Air climate control, Dakota Digital gauges and accessories, Curt Bluetooth trailer brake controller, and Custom Stereo featuring JL Audio and JBL components.
The truck also features many NOS Ford parts like clearance lights, side mirrors, hood emblems, etc. PRD Design refinished the chassis in a semigloss black powder coat and coated the underside of the cab in Raptor paint-matched bed liner. What was left of the original paint was polished up, and when the build was all said and done, PRD Design coated the exterior in Sweet Patina's "Patina Sauce" to preserve the truck for another 54 years of enjoyment.
