Mike Rasfeld was known for many creative accomplishments in Chicago, probably the best being the launching of Acme Recording Studios from nothing. A small grocery store in the Wrigleyville neighborhood was stripped down to the studs and repurposed as a studio which went on to record much that was very special - jazz, blues, rock and folk LPs & CDs, demo tapes, radio commercials AND... (witness the piece above) very inspired SILLY STUFF ! He was also the founder of EARS - the Engineering & Recording Society of Chicago. http://ears-chicago.org

He was an avid magician (going all the way back to childhood) and an accomplished whistler, having won the competition at the National Whistle-Off.

Nate Herman has been writing, performing and directing comedy professionally since 1967, starting at The Second City (cast member and Jeff Award winning director) and going on to National Lampoon’s Lemmings (at the Village Gate in New York and on the road), The National Lampoon Radio Show (writer and performer), National Public Radio (weekly topical comedy pieces on All Things Considered with Warren Leming), and Saturday Night Live (staff writer: four seasons; Emmy nominated writing staff). His band, Wilderness Road, recorded for both Columbia and Warner/Reprise records. Nate is currently Director of Films For The Ear,which produces staged readings of such classic movies as Dr. Strangelove and His Girl Friday. He is also the director of the writing programs at Chicago's IO (formerly "Improv Olympics").

Regarding the song they're skewering, "Feelings" has been best known as a target of parody and ridicule for embodying what are perceived by many as the most insipid lyrical and musical qualities of 1970s "soft rock" music. It appears frequently on lists of "the worst songs ever" and was included on the 1998 Rhino Records compilation album "70s Party Killers". Because of stylistic similarities "Feelings" is sometimes mistakenly associated with Barry Manilow, though Manilow has never performed or recorded the song.
