An enigmatic individual with innumerable talents, Dr. V. Krishna is an incredible musician, teacher, and excellent orator. Dr. V. Krishna dives into the intricacies of the irreplaceable skills and characteristics one experiences pursuing and practicing performing arts. He elaborates on the impact of these very characteristics on an artist’s mentality, physical well-being, and attitude toward life with his talk “The A-E-I-O-U of Performing Arts.” He ties his experiences learning every element of his art with the applicability of these skills in real life. He explains how important it is for an artist to grow into an original identity, learning from the teachings of self-restraint, creativity, and balance. Multi-tasking, your state of mind, and auditory focus - all encompass a fraction of the philosophical effect performing arts has on a practitioner's life, according to him. Dr. V Krishna is the Dean of Student Affairs of PES University and also a professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He received his Ph.D. from Visveswaraya Technological University in 2013 and has over 28 years of experience in teaching, research, consultancy and administration. He has been an invited speaker at various different national and international conferences.

Better known as VK Sir in college, he handles the workings of the numerous student clubs and cultural fests that take place throughout the year. He is the faculty head of NINAADA - PES University's students' Forum for Indian Culture and Heritage and also an accomplished mridangam artist who regularly performs with top musicians across the country. Such a multifaceted and diverse individual is sure to provide our audience with an incredible talk!
