Def Leppard - Newcastle 1983 Full Audio Show (Early Pyromania Tour Show)

Read Me - Recorded on February 25th, 1983 @ the Mayfair Ballroom in Newcastle, England.

Fairly good sound quality for the age on this one. There is some slight phasing on the first two tracks, as well as a muffled sound on the first couple tracks. Picks up well after that though.

This is taken from the first leg of the Pyromania Tour in the UK. Phil Collen is starting to cut his teeth with the band in a live setting, as well as breaking in some new songs from Pyromania. The band seem a little stiff, but again working in new material. Joe is working to wrap his head around the vocals as well.

You'll notice that the setlist is different compared to what was performed mainly in the states. Foolin', Mirror Mirror, and Stagefright would not be performed until the band were full blown headliners in the US. For this UK leg Lady Strange, Overture, and Rocks Off would be added into the set.

These three songs were a tad more obscure for the emerging Def Leppard camp, but would not go on to be performed indefinitely after this UK leg concluded. Looking back in retrospect it's a fun listen, but also more on the fundamental side for how the band was evolving.
