Using the Shannon Erne Waterway locks is simplicity itself. Traditional locks involve a lot of heavy work but these Shannon Erne Waterway locks are a doddle to use. No need for a lock key (or windless) just a Waterways Ireland smart card. You can buy these cards in local shops along the waterway or from the Waterways Ireland wardens. they are also available on line from https://www.waterwaysireland.org
