Number 1: Po Ping
Throughout the Kung Fu Panda franchise, giant panda Po is known to be an easygoing yet talented Kung Fu artist. Po’s personality and appearance are mirrored to his kind in real life. Giant pandas can grow up to 6 feet tall and weigh up to 300 pounds. They have voracious appetite, feasting on fish, vegetables, or other small animals. Though most of their diet consists of bamboo shoots and leaves. Witnessing Po’s swift movements despite his huge frame can be justified since pandas can climb as high as 13,000 feet, are also good swimmers, and male pandas are known to perform handstands against trees when relaxing.
Number 2: Master Shifu
Despite his small frame, he Shifu is seen to be a wise and brilliant mentor. Just like his real life version, Red Pandas grow up to 26 inches and weigh up to 10 pounds. They are known to be very skillful and acrobatic animals since they dwell in trees. A fascinating thing that a red panda can do is they tweet, not the “Twitter” app thing, but they produce sounds known as “twittering.”
Number 3: Master Oogway
Handling the harsh reality with his calmness and nobility, Oogway definitely passed away from old age imparting wise lessons. He definitely mirrored how Galapagos tortoise lives. They are known to live an uncomplicated life, merely composed of activities such as napping for 16 hours, eating, and basking under the sun. They are also known to live for a long time, averaging over 100 years. They are also large in size, growing up to 5 feet in length and can weigh up to 550 pounds.
Number 4: Tigress
Being a South China Tiger, Tigress is seen to display undeniable strength and speed. Though this species of tiger is known to be the second smallest (measuring up to 104 inches in length), they are known to be a strong, fast, and keen hunter of its prey. In the film, Tigress spent most of her life alone which mirrored how South China Tiger prefers to be alone than to be in company of their streaks.
Number 5: Viper
Despite not having any fangs, Viper is shown to display her swiftness and talent in Kung Fu using ribbon dancing. Being a viper snake, they are known to have long fangs and deadly venom. In the film, Viper is known for her fluidity and lightning-fast movements, however, real life vipers are actually sluggish in nature. It is because they prefer to camouflage with their surroundings rather than to just slither away. But, when it comes to attacking, vipers are known for their swift strike.
Number 6: Monkey
His cunning and mischievous personality makes his martial arts ability to be deadly. Being a Golden Snub-Nosed Monkey, it mirrored him such as that, this monkey species is known to be sociable and spends most of their days in a group. They also love to swing on trees, making it their daily activities. Whenever they are threatened, they are known to climb high up into the trees.
Number 7: Mantis
Despite his small figure, his quick and precise movements makes him invisible, almost impossible to fight. Mirroring a real mantis, their unpredictable stance makes them a deadly predator. They are masters of camouflage, using it to ambush their prey together with their quick and precise reflexes. These movements are so quick they are impossible to be seen with the naked eye.
Number 8: Crane
Instead of using his beaks, he is known to display graceful, fluid, and balanced fighting style. Just like what Crane does to fight, cranes are good fighters. They can use their wings to defend themselves. They batter, kick and peck their enemies that the zookeepers have to use riot shields to protect themselves.
