I cut this recipe in half. It made four nice sized funnel cakes. I am providing the full recipe here. I got this recipe from DawndeeDallas when she posted it on Facebook.

I only have skim milk in my house and I think that these would have been better served using whole milk.

Everyone liked them--but I thought it just tasted like dough that was fried. I told you I'm weird ;) My niece said they didn't taste like the ones at the carnival but they were still good.

Please ignore the entire sink full of dishes. We were cooking pretty late at night (around 8 pm) and hadn't yet gotten to putting the dishes into the dishwasher after dinner. Bain was babysitting me while his mom went to a meeting :) He will be turning three at the end of this month.

8 cups vegetable oil for frying
1 1/2 cups milk
2 eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup confectioners' sugar
Directions
In a deep-fryer, or heavy skillet, heat oil to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
In a large bowl, beat milk and eggs together. Combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Stir into the egg mixture until smooth.
While covering the funnel hole with one hand, pour in 1 cup of batter. Start from the center in a swirling motion to make a 6 or 7 inch round. Fry on both sides until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar and serve warm.
