The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) is the Education Board that has been entrusted with the task of managing secondary level school education in the state of West Bengal.

The Board was established through the West Bengal Secondary Education Act, 1950, though it started functioning only around the year 1951.

WBBSE West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) is the board that regulates and governs the secondary examination in West Bengal State. The board is also sometimes referred to as the West Bengal Madhyamik Board.

Generally, the class 10 exams are conducted between the second week of February to the last week of February. This year WBBSE Board Madhyamik (10th) Exam 2020 was conducted from 18th February to 27th February 2020.

As per the report, this year over 56 percent of the 10.15 lakh students appeared for WBBSE class 10th exam.

The Board president, Kalyanmoy Ganguly said that the evaluation of class 10 answer copies has been completed. It will take about a month to complete e the post-evaluation process, following which the results can be announced.

Students can easily check their scores online, in a single click. Last year, Madhyamik result was announced on May 21. It is expected that the result shall be out after the lockdown is over.
