The original versions of this game are now very sought after collector items. This game is available both on Nintendo Switch Online service and Mega Drive Mini so fortunately several ways to check it out in a legit way.

One of the obviously striking things about this game is the artwork associated with the game. The game was done as a collaboration between Game Arts and GAINAX of Evangelion fame. The gameplay is heavily based on "options" (a term used in shmups for the things that float around your character) which in this game are your dragon buddies that help cheer you on as you obliterate everything on the screen. There is a large amount of stage variety and the game does not overstay its welcome, but the music and artwork steal the show.
