Twin Lakes to Rowe via Alt

I backpacked into Twin Lakes in Waterton the day before (25 km and ~2000 ft of elevation gain. If the weather was agreeable, I was going to try and return via the ridge past South Kootenay pass, Mt Festuburt, unnamed peak and Mt Rowe. The end of this section would go down to Upper Rowe lake and then out to Akamina parkway. This is an off trail hike that does require lots of micro navigation to stay on track. There are also only a few options to get off the ridge if the weather turns bad and each would come with its own challenge. Finally, there is no water - I was on the ridge for over 8.5 hours going at what I felt was a moderate pace. In the heat, you would need to consider how to stay hydrated.
