This is the longplay of the game Mega Man X2, also known as Rockman X2 in Japan. It is an action and platform game released in 1994 in Japan and in 1995 in the United States and Europe, having been produced and distributed by Capcom.

The story of Mega Man X2 takes place six months after the previous game. X takes over the leadership of the Maverick Hunters. Despite Sigma's defeat, the Maverick Rebellion continues.

Going in search of information given by Dr Cain, X and the other Maverick Hunters found the last Mavericks in an abandoned factory, they hope they will be the last of the resistance. But they hardly suspect that a war is about to start and that there are X-Hunters ready to end X.

Three mavericks (Violen, Serges and Agile), formed a group known as "X-Hunters" (Counter Hunters in the Japanese version) and put all of Zero's parts together to rebuild him again as an extremely powerful Maverick. It will be up to X to defeat the enemies, while also having to obtain all of Zero's parts before he is rebuilt for evil.

Mega Man X2 follows the same style as its predecessor. The graphics of the loaded shots have been improved, in addition to having enemies and graphics with wireframe effects, with rotation and sprite movements, which require a special chip called CX4, which comes in this game. X needs to pick up weapons when defeating bosses, in addition to hearts, subtanks and armor parts have a very different look from the previous version and additional powers (the helmet allows detecting upgrades in the stages and the armor allows you to absorb energy attacks and when fully charged can launch an attack that devastates the entire screen). In addition to fighting the bosses, X must defeat the X-Hunters to recover Zero's parts. X-Hunters hide in the levels and need to be defeated as quickly as possible. The soundtrack is good, but it kind of divided opinion.
Anyway, Mega Man X2 is a very good sequel that deserves to be played and has several endings.

The game was done in two playthroughs and collecting all the items. First playthrough: all items, armor parts, secret technique and no Zero parts collected. Second Playthrough: All items, armor parts, secret technique and Zero parts collected. Third playthrough (not exactly a playthrough, as I used a password): no armor parts collected, but includes all items and parts from Zero to enable a secret ending.
