Homelander is vicious and psychotic, with a chip on his shoulder that is stronger than Kryptonite and little respect for human life. Consider Clark Kent, but without the empathy, superiority complex, or toddler-like rage outbursts.

However, how will you feel if I say that the comic version of Homelander is more diabolical and twisted? He has committed horrible actions with hardly a second's thinking and no regret. The flag-wearing superhero takes center stage in some of the comics' darkest moments which doesn't exactly shy away from brutal and distressing imagery. When it comes to the leader of Seven, the Amazon Prime series pulls no punches – yet, even so, there are elements from the comics that have already proven too twisted up for the small screen.
