Hard to believe such a perfect sound came out at a time when most hardcore was already getting metallic and most of the original punk bands had, at best, been limp leftovers for years. With these late bloomers being so remote, I bet they could have pulled an Uncalled 4 and just backdated it to slide into history as one of the OG greats but they probably didn’t give a shit about that. Respect due there but for such a fantastic beginning, The Queers really settled into being a completely ignorable group by the time they rebooted in the 90s. Shoulda stayed dead. ​
