Heading out of town to a wedding this winter? Inclement weather can lead to epic delays and missing luggage so keep things simple by fitting everything you need into a carry-on. Here, our checklist for a multifunctional weekend wardrobe that ensures you’ll win best-dressed (and most efficient) guest.
Keep your flight outfit simple with a cozy scarf, slip on boots, and comfortable jeans. Add flair with a colorful purse and a warm faux fur coat. For the rehearsal dinner, pair your silk blouse from the previous day with a striped pencil skirt and bright accessories. We recommend Rachel’s trick of switching from your winter boots to your evening sandals when you check your coat upon arrival. Don’t forget tights! Exploring the neighborhood and grabbing lunch on Saturday calls for jeans, boots, and a cozy sweater. Finish the look with your coat and a cross body bag. Up the ante for the wedding by donning a backless jumpsuit and a bright red lip. A sequined cardigan will you keep you warm indoors, and will look great with a playful clutch.
