Teen Titans is easily one of my all-time favorite action cartoons and its main villain, Slade, is one of my all-time favorite villains in all of DC. Despite seeing quite a bit from Slade, many details regarding his past and motives were left a mystery.
Why does Slade want to turn young superheroes into his apprentices? Why is Slade focused on the Teen Titans? Does Slade have a history with other superheroes?
To answer those and other questions, this analysis looks into all of Slade's actions in the show, parallels to his comic book appearances, and similarities to other DC characters.
