RULES:
The object of the game is to have the most chips after a predetermines number of rounds or length of time has been reached. Lay out the mat and give each player 200 chips. White is worth 1, red is 5, green is 25, blue is 50, and black is 100. Each player places 1 white chip on each section of the mat, including the kitty space. Pick a dealer who shuffles the deck and deals it out amongst all the players, plus 1 additional dummy hand to the side. Players look at their own cards, but keep them hidden from others. No player may look at the dummy hand.

The dealer may choose to discard their entire hand facedown, without revealing it, and replace it with the dummy hand, which becomes their new hand. If they do, they may not undo the action and get their original hand back. If the dealer chooses not to discard their hand, then the other players may bid on the dummy hand. The highest bidder pays the dealer and discards their hand and gets the dummy hand. However, a player may not exchange their hand for the dummy hand if they hold any of the cards depicted on the game mat. Once the dummy hand has been resolved, then any player may reveal any of the cards depicted on the game mat from their hand, if they do, then they get to collect the chips in the matching spaces. If multiple players reveal the same thing, then they split the chips.

Now, using the cards available to them, each player makes their best possible 5 card poker hand. To learn about poker hand ranks, check out this video. The player to the dealer’s left opens the bet. Bets are played to the poker pot. Players may check, bet, or fold. A check is a bet of zero. If a player bets, then subsequent players must either call by adding the same number of chips; raise, by adding more chips than the previous, or fold, they withdraw from the betting and do not participate anymore. Once all players have called or folded, they reveal their 5 card hands and the highest value wins the chips in the poker pot. If it is a tie, then the tied players share, leaving any remaining behind.

Now, the dealer begins play by playing their lowest-value card of any suit from their hand face up in front of them. Whoever has the next highest card in sequence in that suit then plays it down faceup in front of them. Play continues until no player can play the next-highest card in sequence, then all the players, except for the player to have played last, must pay 5 chips into the kiddy. For a less aggressive game, only pay 1 chip. Then the player who played last begins play again with their lowest card in any suit except the one that was just played. The first player to play all the cards in their hand wins this phase and collects the chips in the kitty as well as 1 chip from each player for each card remaining in their hand.

If you have reached your predetermined length of time, then the game ends and the player with the most chips wins. If not, then gather up all the cards and the role of dealer rotates clockwise by 1. Any chips still on the game mat remain in play where they are for the next round. Each player places 1 chip into each of the spaces on the mat and another round is played. Continue this process until the predetermined time limit or round limit has been reached. For a more challenging game, you can remove the hearts collation time when players reveal cards to collect their matching sections on the mat and instead only allow the collection of matching spaces when the corresponding card is playing during the Michigan rummy section of the game.
