Cyber scammers convince people to put their life savings into cryptocurrencies and then proceed to steal it all. But the people scamming others are often victims of human trafficking. The UN says over 120,000 have been enslaved by the cyber scam gangs. They are often lured into cyber scam centres and then forced to scam others. The governments of Southeast Asian countries need to crack down on cyber scam gangs.
