His official Instagram handle shared a heartfelt message that read, "With infinite sorrow, the Armani Group announces the passing of its creator, founder, and tireless driving force: Giorgio Armani.
Armani died at home, the fashion house said. The fashion icon did not appear at his runway shows in June as he was reportedly recovering from an undisclosed illness.
