The Priestesses are being called back. Will you answer the call?

The Kastalia Springs are the ancient flowing waters of the goddess Kastalia. She is a pygae, or wellspring nymph who offers her powers of cleansing to all those who seek them.

Before approaching the Oracle in ancient times, just as I do on every visit, and as my priestesses do on retreats, visitors would cleanse themselves here.

Priestesses would carry the water up to the temple of Apollo, passing beneath the archway bearing the message “know thyself.” These waters were incredibly a powerful and important for the Pythia, the Oracle of Delphi.

The final prophecy that she ever gave read: “the fair wrought house has fallen. No shelter has Apollo, nor sacred laurel leaves; the fountains are now silent; the voice is stilled. It is finished.” - 393 CE.

But today, these waters are beginning to flow again.

This is the surest sign to me that we are meant to return, en masse, to revive these sacred practices.
