In 1993, he opened the Martin Berasategui restaurant, which received a Michelin star the year it opened, one in 1996 and another in November 2001. Martin Berasategui oversees the kitchen at multiple restaurants, and now, he is the only chef with 8 Michelin stars in Portugal.
