If you're considering a high-performance Android tablet that is functional and affordable, then consider the DragonTouch Max10 Plus. At $170 the Max 10 Plus includes a lot of features that you'd find on more expensive tablets. The most noticeable feature is the 10.1 inch IPS screen with 1920x1080 full HD resolution. IPS allows wider viewing angles of the screen. And what that means is that you'll get minimal color shifting or darkening of the screen when viewed from difference angles.

The Max10 Plus is powered by an Octa-Core processor and it comes with Android 10 installed. Taking a closer look, on one of the long sides are built-in stereo speakers. On the opposite end is a front facing camera which means you can do online videos calls with programs like Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

On the back you'll find the main camera as well as a built-in LED flash. Around the corner is a headphone jack, power buttons, and a built-in microphone. The DragonTouch Max 10 comes with 32GB of storage but it's expandable with up to a 128GB SD card which is not included. And just so you know, you cannot use mobile SIM cards even though there are two icons next to the SD card slot. Installing the SD card is a bit tricky because it needs to be held at slight angle for it to go in. But in my opinion it's definitely necessary because I think you can run out of the built-in 32GB of storage quite quickly.

Though this tablet is WiFi only, there are two offline features I think are great additions. First, by plugging in a set of wired headphones you can use the built-in FM tuner completely free of a data connection. The reason why you need wired headphones for it to work is because it uses the cord as the antenna. The second feature is built-in GPS. This is really nice because you can download a Google map of your area while on WiFi and then you can use the Max10 Plus for driving directions on the road without a data connection. Of course saving maps in the Max10 does take up space so again it's a good idea to install an SD card. I've tested the driving directions and it works perfectly but you do need to update the maps every once in awhile.

You can even read ebooks on the Max10 Plus by downloading the Kindle app. The 10.1 inch screen is great for Kindle or other ebook reading apps. And speaking of apps, the DragonTouch Max10 Plus can be used for productivity or entertainment when connected to the Google Play Store. With games, utility apps and many others available, this is a nice affordable tablet for use at home, in the office or on vacation. The DragonTouch Max 10 Plus does have 2.4 and 5GHz WiFi bands but as mentioned before there isn't an option for use on cellular networks.

Finally, the only accessories included in the box are a USB-C cable and wall charger. For me my main use for the Max10 is for games and entertainment. I like it because of the large screen and I don't have to drag around a bulky laptop everywhere to stream movies or surf the internet. It does feel a bit plasticky especially the back panel. But the DragonTouch Max10 Plus is quite affordable if you're planning to get just one or multiple tablets for your family.
