A solo Filipino developer ‪@cathunttree‬ is crafting a brutal first-person shooter called Shell Soldier — and it’s one you shouldn’t sleep on.
This project reminds me so much of the early days of Trepang2 back in 2018 — that raw, “there’s something special here” feeling.

Built with passion and grit, Shell Soldier blends intense melee combat with the kind of chaotic energy that made F.E.A.R. unforgettable. Even better — the dev hid an Easter egg of YouTuber ‪@BrutalZlim‬ in each level. That’s the kind of personality I love to see in indie games.

Honestly, it’s awesome seeing this kind of talent coming from just across the water from Western Australia.
