Templers Park waterfall is located about 20 kms from Kuala Lumpur city centre. And north of Batu Caves.

The entrance to the park is quite confusing and the signboard is easy to miss. There is a worn out sign of waterfall which you need to keep a look out.

The park is part of the rainforest of Kanching waterfalls, covering an area of 1200 hectares. The park is named after Gerald Templer, who was the British High Commissioner to Malaya in the 1950s.

From the entrance, its roughly a 3 km hike to the waterfall. Some parts of the trail has no markers and it is easy to get lost. However, if you get lost on the trail follow the flow of the water downstream since it leads you out to the entrance.

The trail is a fairly easy 3 km flat land hike. There is another trail to the waterfall which is about 4.5 kms. Some part of the trail has bushes. But still a good fun for hikers.

Watch out for leeches. One had an easy ride with me back home.

Unlike its neighbour, Kanching Waterfalls, the Templers Park waterfall, has no entrance fee. However, toilets are out of order.

If you are a first time hiker to the park, it is better to go in a group so you dont get lost.
