A thing that I find frustrating with RPGs, and this is hardly a new complaint, is how flexible the power of magic and the power of characters is. Maybe this isn't the best example, but Squall here is so obviously VASTLY more powerful than shithead Seifer, but Seifer takes the victory in the end. I know part of his character is his pompous, egomaniacal attitude, but it's pretty silly. He has TWO FUCKING ATTACKS. I essentially have an army of magic and monsters on my side. Same with Edea for her fight: she seems pretty damn powerful, why couldn't she just wipe me out with one wave of the hand? Or possess the whole party like she did Rinoa? With that being said, I fucking love this game and the story. Comparing it to the only other Final Fantasy I have uploaded to this channel, the story so far is way better than FFVII.
