Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based psychotherapy that began with efforts to treat personality disorders and interpersonal conflict. DBT may be useful in treating mood disorders, suicidal thoughts, and changing behavior patterns such as self-harm and substance abuse. DBT is a process in which the therapist and client work with, and ultimately balance and synthesize, acceptance and change-oriented strategies.
According to recent research, DBT therapy protocols are effective in treating trauma-related disorders and PTSD.

Thanks to the training, you will learn how to use skills from the following areas of the rich DBT protocol when working with people with trauma:

• coping with stress;
• radical acceptance;
• mindfulness;
• regulation of emotions.
