How to Change MP3 Bitrate?

The following will introduce a step by step guide on how to reduce MP3 bitrate from 320 kbps to 192 kbps. It also applies to increase or decrease bitrate of other audio or video files.

Step 1 Add MP3 files

Click the "Add files" button to import the MP3 audio files for which you want to reduce the bitrate.


Step 2 Select desired audio format

Click "Setting..." button, the "Advanced Settings" Window will pop up right beside the main window;
In the 'Advanced Settings' Window, switch to 'Advanced' tab and then go to the 'Audio Codec' section;
Double click '128k' tab on the right side of 'Bitrate' to select '192k' from the drop-down list. Or overwrite your desired bitrate;
Finally click "Apply to All" and OK.


Step 3 Define output format and destination

Click the "Profile" drop-down button to select favorite audio format like MP3, WAV, and M4A etc from the "General Audio" category:
If you want to convert MP3 to lower bitrate and keep the same format, select MP3 as output format.
If you want to change MP3 bitrate and convert MP3 to other audio format, select your preferable audio format like WMA, WAV etc as output format.

Click the "Browse..." button to specify the destination folder for storing the converted MP3 files.

Step 4 Change MP3 Bitrate
Click the "Convert" button to start and finish converting MP3 to lower bitrate from 320 kbps to 192 kbps.
