Heavy-duty trucking fleet managers are no strangers to market fluctuations. Tariffs have introduced a new layer of complexity, impacting both pricing and supply chain certainty. John Hoover, vice president of national fleet and technical services at Truck-Lite, underscores the advantage of being a U.S.-based manufacturer amidst these uncertainties.

“Over 80% of our products are designed, engineered, and manufactured right here in the United States,” Hoover said. With tariffs potentially exceeding 9%, this domestic production capability puts Truck-Lite in a favorable position when working with OEMs, aftermarket customers, and fleet operators. Having weathered economic slowdowns, fuel crises, and supply chain disruptions during their 70 years in business, Truck-Lite has consistently adapted by aligning their approach with fleet needs. Hoover emphasized the importance of agility: "What really guides us through uncertain times is adapting to our customers’ needs and continuing to deliver the quality parts and high-level service they expect."
