London Walk: Battersea Park【4K】

On the south bank of the River Thames, just opposite Chelsea, is Battersea Park.

Situated in the borough of Wandsworth, with the iconic Battersea Power Station lying just to the east, the park comprises of 200 acres/83 hectares of green space around 2 miles out from central London.

There are a number of distinguising landmarks within the park. The London Peace Pagoda was installed in 1985, and receives daily care and attention from a Buddhist monk. A boating lake lies on the southern end of the park, while a zoo and an athletics stadium are found to the north.

The park had a brief association with motorsports when it hosted Formula E races from 2015-16 (the E refers to electric cars). This caused some controversy due to the park's Grade II listed status, and was subsequently discontinued.
