We took on an unforgettable 2-day boating adventure starting in Hopetown, Abaco (Bahamas) and made our way to Sarasota, Florida—all by boat! Along the way, we crossed from Freeport to Stuart, Florida, navigated through Lake Okeechobee, and finished the trip via the Intracoastal Waterway. The Bahamas trip was completed on our 42' Yellowfin with quad mercury 400 outboard engines.

Day 1: We cruised from Hopetown to Freeport, then crossed the Gulf Stream into Stuart. After cutting through Lake Okeechobee, we docked at Roland Martin Marina, where we joined some locals for a legendary crawfish boil. Fueling up here did not go as planned because the pump was only working marginally.

Day 2: The journey wasn’t smooth— we ran out of fuel, dealt with lock delays, and rough seas forced us inland. Instead of the Gulf, we traveled the Intracoastal Waterway from Fort Myers to Sarasota to complete our trip.
