A survivor of human trafficking slated for deportation to Rwanda, according to a charity.

According to a UK refugee agency, a lady in immigration custody has been chosen for deportation to Rwanda.

Women for Refugee Women said that it was in contact with a trafficking victim who had just received a notice of intent indicating that she was under consideration for deportation to Rwanda.
Charity workers believe the government wants to send the lady to Rwanda instead of affording her security and a chance to rebuild her life in the UK.

The Guardian reported Sunday that the Home Office is contemplating a second trip to Rwanda after the first jet was grounded on 14 June by the European court of human rights.

The Home Office hasn't ruled out sending women and children to Rwanda with males, but this is the first time a woman has been handed a notice of intent. First-flight passengers were all men.

Dozens of male asylum seekers in immigration custody after arriving in tiny boats or trucks have received letters of intent for the second trip to Rwanda.
Since December, more women arriving in the UK by sea are being arrested and brought to Derwentside in County Durham. The Home Office didn't imprison female asylum applicants before.

The Home Office started holding women there on 28 December 2021. 40 women are detained.
