Описание к видео Bible in a Year | Speed, Control, and the Collapse of Meaning (Genesis 1–17)

We live in a world that is exhausted — and most people can’t fully explain why.

We have more technology, more information, more optimisation, more language for self-understanding than any civilisation before us. And yet anxiety, restlessness, and burnout feel normal. Even rest is managed. Even stillness feels unsafe.

This isn’t a Bible study or a chapter-by-chapter teaching.

This is a cultural diagnosis.

Genesis 1–17 isn’t read here as ancient history or religious instruction, but as a confrontation of the assumptions modern life is built on — speed, control, self-definition, certainty, and the belief that progress itself produces meaning.

Rather than walking through the text in order, this talk names the world as it is now — and lets Genesis quietly expose where the foundations don’t hold.

Across this reflection, we explore:
• why speed has replaced meaning
• how control masquerades as maturity
• why identity feels unbearably heavy
• how waiting has become intolerable
• why systems promise security but can’t deliver it
• and how achievement has been asked to carry more than it can sustain

Genesis doesn’t argue with these assumptions.
It simply refuses to share them.

Order precedes action.
Identity is given before performance.
Waiting is formative, not failure.
Life is held, not forced into place.

This video is part of the Bible in a Year journey on this channel, but it stands as a wider cultural reflection — for anyone wrestling with exhaustion, anxiety, pressure, or the sense that modern life keeps accelerating without direction.
