Mario Party 10 - Boss Battles - Mega Mechakoopa's Swing & Stomp
To get closer to the chains hanging from the ceiling, players must sprint to the elevators on the stage's left side. Then they have to leap forward to grab a chain, then leap off so they can land on Mega Mechakoopa's head. When a player lets go of the chain, it determines the angle of their jump; if they let go mid-swing, they will barely fly at all, and if they let go just as the chain is finishing its swing, they will soar farther.
Mega Mechakoopa will initially position itself on the stage's right side, where it will be an easy target. As it loses health, though, it will start to move back and forth across the stage, making it tougher to strike and requiring players to dodge it as they head towards the elevators. Anyone who touches Mega Mechakoopa will lose a point and experience a momentary shocked state.
Mega Mechakoopa will become more unpredictable and move quicker after losing half of its health. Additionally, it will start breathing fire in 90-degree arcs to the left or right; if players touch the fire, they lose a point. Players will need to exercise considerably greater caution when running by the monster after jumping off the chains because there is no warning or pattern to its fire breath.
Mega Mechakoopa must be defeated with 20 stomps; after the 10th, it loses half of its life.
Before the scores are totaled, the person who delivers the decisive blow earns three extra points. As always, the player with the most points wins. The maximum amount of points a player can acquire is 23.
