Wander through its lively streets and find something for everyone! From unique dry goods and bespoke fashion to a colossal sweet shop and a haven for fans of manga, punk, goth, and romantic styles. If you can imagine it, you'll probably find it for sale here! Cross the charming bridge, affectionately called "The Train" by locals, and soak in the atmosphere of pedestrian boulevards lined with beautiful trees and historic palaces. Don't forget to grab a delicious Bulgarian coffee and perhaps a traditional Banitsa with ham and cheese!

Ottoman Heritage & Bulgarian Renaissance Architecture
Step back in time at the Imaret Mosque, built in 1444-1445, and visit the tomb of the Ottoman commander Lala Shahin Pasha. Admire its unique minaret with a meander brick dressing, a true architectural masterpiece. Learn about the mosque's compassionate history as an "imaret," providing hot meals to the poor regardless of faith.
Then, marvel at the elegant former Bulgarian National Bank building, designed by Swiss architect Jakob Heinrich Meyer and opened in 1899, showcasing a joyful blend of Baroque and Neoclassicism.
