Hi Witches! Hi Mystical Beings!
Welcome back to the channel.

In this video, taken from Episode 106 of The Witching Week, I delve into a poignant reflection of the Witches of Scotland Tartan, a new tartan on the Scottish Register of Tartans that is designed to serve as a living memorial to the thousands of people – but namely women – who were accused, charged and executed for Witchcraft in Scotland between the 16th and 18th Centuries.

It was designed by Claire Mitchell KC and Zoe Venditozzi, Witches of Scotland founders, and was brought to life by designer Clare Campbell of the Prickly Thistle tartan mill in Evanton, Inverness and proceeds of its sale will support charity efforts. The Witches of Scotland’s founders draw clear parallels with the witch-hunting rhetoric and threats to the rights of women, both in the past and in current climes.
