At the National Conference on 'Exploring Interdisciplinary Frontiers: Challenges and Opportunities' IGNOU, Professor Kapil Kapoor compared the contrasting viewpoints and Knowledge Cultures of the Vedic and the Abrahamic societies. The two cultures' basic differences in religious concepts distinctly create contrasting ideas towards the Creation, Nature and Human understanding of Life.
He elaborates on how the Bharatiya Civilisation is an alternative to Western Civilisation.

He is the editor-in-chief of the unique 11-volume set of The Encyclopaedia of Hinduism
And also of the Sahitya Akademi Sponsored and yet to be published - Encyclopaedia of Indian Poetics which is also a UNESCO project
