Far Cry Primal: Proof That Mammoths Could Fly

PROOF THAT MAMMOTHS COULD FLY. Well, folks, here it is: definitive, empirical proof of large mammals taking to the sky.
From the footage It is evident that said mammals, in a last-ditch effort to avoid death, tried to escape by flying from the contact situation. In one example a bewildered specimen even tried landing on a branch, since perching out of sight of the attacker would have been a totally logical thing to do under the circumstances. It is also clear from the last bit of the video that the young individuals had not yet gained the ability of flight and therefore could do nothing else but try and defend the dead bodies of their fallen elders.
On the evolutionary front we can deduce from all this that modern elephants may have tried to compensate for their lack of flight (something they have obviously unlearned) by growing large ears.
This evidence will be presented to the larger intellectual community very soon.
And no ... I have NOT been standing downwind from a herd of flatulent weed-eating elephants on a hot, very breezy day. Seeing is believing. My next lecture will be on the aerial migration patterns of these ancient flocks (not herds) of mammoth.
