A Valencia Spain Wine Country Tour - (Requena-Utiel)

Spain's wine tours are amazing! We are headed out to the Valencia, Spain wine country called Requena-Utiel. The region which has been growing grapes and producing wines since the 7th Century BC, is well known for the Bobal grape. This grape type is grown in 80% of the wineries in this region, also the wines produced here are protected by its own designation of origin (Requena-Utiel).


In this episode we hop on a mini tour bus and explore Valencia's wine region. Our tour guide takes us to two wineries where we taste some of the best wines in the area.


The first Valencia Spain winery is Murviedro, where we get to explore the underground caves where the ancient civilizations would produce and store the wines centuries ago. We then head up to the VIP room where we get the best views of the quaint city while we sip away on Cava (Spanish Champagne) and some other delicious wines.


Next we head over to the next winery VERA Estenas. This is a family owned vineyard and estate that has been producing wines for generations. We tour the winery with and get to pick some grapes and stomp them!


After that workout we sit down for a mega course lunch overlooking the vineyards and enjoy unlimited vino with some new friends!

Who are we?
Well, we are a couple from worlds apart that has chosen Valencia, Spain to be our home base. Vicky is born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, now an American citizen. Josh is an American, well, born and raised in Ohio.

We left our jobs, family and friends and moved to Valencia, Spain in the middle of the pandemic. We decided to that we should also start a YouTube channel to show the world that, you can do anything (even if you are getting grey hair), if you think you can!
