Sridhar Vembu is the co-founder and CEO of Zoho Corp. He started the company in 1996 in a small apartment in Chennai suburb. Today, all three divisions under the Zoho Corp. brand — WebNMS, ManageEngine and Zoho.com, continue to be privately-held and profitable. Sridhar is known for his unconventional choices. He started a product company in India when service companies were all the rage in the IT sector. In 2005, he began the Zoho University programme (now called Zoho Schools of Learning) where high school students are trained and then employed in the company. Currently, around 10% of Zoho's workforce is made of ZS graduates. Instead of opening new offices in metros, he prefers smaller towns or suburbs. In 2016, the Tenkasi office located in rural India launched Zoho Desk, a product that was developed there. Sridhar has also been instrumental in deepening and broadening the product portfolio of Zoho. He passionately believes in making in India and that software is his craft.

Badri Seshadri obtained his B.Tech from IIT-Madras and Ph.D from Cornell University, both in Mechanical Engineering. He was one of the co-founders of the immensely popular Cricket website Cricinfo.com. Then he co-founded Kizhakku Pathippagam, a Tamil book publishing company which he continues to run. His latest venture is Synprosoft, a Zoho Partner company, providing IT solutions on the Zoho platform.
Badri is a social commentator who regularly presents his views on politics, economics, technology and education through Television, Print and social media.

TiE Chennai's Annual entrepreneurship conference TiECON Chennai, is the Largest Entrepreneurship Conference in Tamil Nadu this year from Oct 05 - 10, 2020.
Conversations surrounding the ‘new normal’ instigated by COVID-19 are now part of our everyday life. The pandemic has brought about a distinct shift in the way businesses are both envisioned and carried out. Discussions and interventions are all moving online, geographic boundaries are becoming increasingly fungible, and entrepreneurs are being forced to innovate. Traditional business models are falling away, giving way to new markets and new possibilities. The COVID-19 pandemic has forced entrepreneurs to re-imagine what it means to run a business.
TiECON Chennai 2020 will explore these changes and re-imaginations. What would business models of the future look like? How does one build relationships in the absence of face-to-face interactions? How can we integrate resilience into our organizations? In a world of such uncertainty, how do we understand growth and productivity? This year’s online conference will engage with changing boundaries and definitions in the business world as the ecosystem grapples with the impact of the pandemic.
