But that's not all; the state is also home to major manufacturing units of innerwear brands like Rupa, Dollar, and Lux. In fact, Lux's innerwear brand boasts the largest factory in Asia, producing an astounding 1.2 million pieces per day!

West Bengal's history in soap manufacturing is noteworthy. The Garden Reach factory, India's 100-year-old soap manufacturing factory, continues to produce popular 'Lux' and 'Lifebuoy' brands.

Meanwhile, the Khidirpur factory of Hindustan Unilever (HUL) manufactures a wide range of tea and ice creams. It's the world's largest tea factory by volume, and it also produces 'Kwality Walls' ice-creams.

Interestingly, the state plays a crucial role in the leather goods industry, accounting for approximately 50% of India's exports.

From tobacco manufacturing to the production of jute and hair exports, West Bengal is a treasure box of business diversity.
