Today we're smashing some big pieces of mookaite jasper and GORGEOUS blue copper slag to make them small enough to tumble in my 3 lb rock tumblers. The slag glass is over 100 years old and comes from copper factories in Germany. So cool! Stay tuned to see what these beauties look like tumbled!

Safety First: PLEASE don't attempt this without safety glasses! People have lost eyes and worse to renegade rock shards. I also recommend long pants, sleeves, and gloves to protect the rest of you. As you can see in this video, these rocks be vicious. When I'm breaking rocks on my own, I usually put them in a plastic bag to contain them and make the process a little safer. I highly recommend that method!
