This submission video is dedicated to all my fellow artists struggling during a very uncertain time in the US right now. Thank you to NPR Tiny Desk for being a ray of hope and showcasing undiscovered artists in a time of uncertainty.

This song is deeply personal to me. It blends my Greek Cypriot roots with my life as a Legal Immigrant in the United States, with the emotion of zeibekiko with pop. This is an acoustic version of an unreleased song, shared in its most honest and vulnerable form.

In late 2025, ongoing financial strain shaped by the economic realities many are facing today, forced me to move from Los Angeles. After moving to Washington, D.C. to be near family and struggling to find stability, I returned home to Cyprus to reconnect for a while with my creativity after a year marked by fear, displacement, and uncertainty, especially during a time of political uncertainty.

This song is a reminder that music is universal. It brings people together across cultures and borders, creating community through shared emotion.

NPR Tiny Desk has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be heard, regardless if I make it through to the contest or not, it would be an honor to be the first Cypriot artist to share world folk music on this stage within a space that celebrates intimacy, humanity, and connection with a world of viewers.
