The Ramappa Temple, a historic masterpiece built by the Kakatiya dynasty’s general Recharla Rudra between 1173 and 1213 in Palampet, Mulugu district, Telangana, dedicated to Lord Ramalingeshwara and renowned for its unparalleled sculptural artistry, earned UNESCO World Heritage status for its intricate Perini Shivatandavam carvings, lightweight floating bricks, and earthquake-resistant sand foundation, with additional features like a deep reservoir irrigating thousands of acres and serving four mandals, drawing 500 to 1,000 daily tourists, including around 100 foreigners monthly, who marvel at its architectural brilliance and historical significance.
