We headed off for a few days beak over the Easter weekend. So, no miniature ideas to share via video for day 41 in my video diary - A Year in the Life of a Miniaturist. However, we stayed in a lovely historic home on the East Coast of New Zealand that gave me heaps of ideas for miniature homes I might create in 12th scale in the future. These old homesteads had a lot of very distinctive features that lend themselves well to the miniaturist mind-set. I kept saying to Roger (husband) "Hey, look at that! How could I do it in miniature?". I even made him hold the camera while I filmed some of the features to share with you all.
