Is Absurd the Greatest Italian Halloween Ripoff?

It's another Joe D'Amato/Luigi Montefiori joint on this week's installment of Sick Flicks as we tackle 1981's slasher flick Absurd!

Montefiori is a psycho killer turned loose by the Vatican (!) in a film that was intended to be a sequel to D'Amato and Montefiori's Anthropophagus, but instead became a Halloween knockoff.

Featuring Edmund Purdom as a poor man's Donald Pleasence, lots of nonsensical story elements, and some great gore effects, this one's sure to please fans of D'Amato and Montefiori's unique brand of cinema. It's a bit of a mess, but you'll have fun with it anyway.
