Simone Locarni - Ten Stops [Jazz, Full album]

The record Ten Stops puts in comparison two generations: on one hand three giants of the Italian jazz scene, in particular Andrea Dulbecco on the vibraphone, Riccardo Fioravanti at bass and Bebo Ferra on the guitar, and on the other the young rising star Simone Locarni on the piano. Notwithstanding the age difference, common inspirations both musical and aesthetic are many, two in particular over all others namely Kenny Wheeler and John Taylor; starting from this common base the project evolves through rearrangements of standards of the jazz tradition and original compositions, all of which find energy in the singularity of the group and from a strong and sincere interplay.
