For some people, joining a 12-step group or going through rehab was the trick they needed to beat addiction and find success in recovery.

For most people, that’s not the story.

Many people find some tools to abstain from their addictive substance or behavior of choice but they suffer a recovery that lacks meaning and purpose, is a battle against cravings, and a journey of avoiding triggers so they don’t relapse.

That’s not “recovery”. That sounds like living in hell – a hello without a chemical or behavior to help you escape the pain.

Fortunately, there is a much better approach to addiction recovery!!
If a stint in rehab or attendance at an AA, NA, CA, CR, RR, SMART, SA, or any other 12-step group hasn’t gotten you to the place you want to be in your recovery, I can help.

As a recovery mindset coach (with my own recovery journey), it’s not my job to define what your recovery should look like.

Everyone’s path to addiction looks different; everyone’s path to recovery will be different and unique to the person as well. And what that recovery looks like is a personal decision.

Moving beyond the clutches of a drug or behavior so you can survive without it, that’s not recovery.
Getting to a place where we don’t have the emotional pain to numb, the void to fill, or the overwhelming cravings to use, that’s what recovery looks like. And it’s possible for everyone…with the right support and guidance.
