What if you spent a day in the shoes of a stranger, would you still be judgmental, or would you have compassion for who they are?

This series is dedicated to sharing the life stories of people as a way of countering the superficial judgments we often make by allowing us to feel connected with our fellow humans.

On Harstine Island, in Washington State, I met up with award winning sculptor artist Kathy Ross at her home studio.

Kathy has been a full time artist for most of her life, and her work has been featured in galleries across the nation.

She is also a leader in the LGBTQ+ community, a lifelong outdoors enthusiast, and most importantly, a human just like you and me.
