Gina Schock steps Behind The Rope. Gina is here to chat about what it is like to be part of the most famous, successful and every other adjective you can think of girl group of all time, The Go-Go’s. Gina talks early Go Go days in the LA Punk scene of the late seventies and early eighties, making their breakout first album, “Beauty and The Beat”, the height of their fame, subsequent albums, “Vacation” and “Talk Show” and the ultimate demise and initial break up of the band. Gina talks about the much publicized drug use of The Go Go’s band members, the wild antics and nights and separates fact from fiction amongst the many tall tales and public stories. Gina reminisces about the many makes ups and breaks ups throughout the decades, the on again - off again touring and how the original members - Belinda, Kathy, Jane, Charlotte and herself have achieved the near impossible remaining family and sisters though it all. Gina explains how the musical Head Over Heels came to be, their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, working with Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez and her undying admiration and love for one Mr. Harry Styles. Finally, Gina dishes on what being a bad a$$ girl drummer means, what is next for the band and how this almost five decade long journey has been captured in her brilliant photo book “Made in Hollywood”!
