Yaskawa General Purpose Inverter Drive CIMR-J1000 Static Check

Описание к видео Yaskawa General Purpose Inverter Drive CIMR-J1000 Static Check

In this video, Rob shows us how to perform a static check on the Yaskawa CIMR-J1000 series of general purpose inverter units.

To begin the static check, you must power off the drive and disconnect any incoming power and output motor lines. Next, verify the DC bus has been discharged by checking the charge lamp. Even though the lamp may not be illuminated, it is always best to double check that there is no voltage before going any further.

After the unit is completely discharged, we're going to perform a phase-to-ground test by checking the inputs and outputs to make sure none of them are shorted to ground. Set your multimeter to the resistance function and then find a good ground to take accurate measurements. Keep the ground probe in contact with the ground and check each input R, S, and T individually and then check the outputs U, V, and W and verify each is not shorted to ground.

If the inputs and outputs are not shorted, the next static test would be to check the input and output transistor modules. By using the diode function on the multimeter, take the negative probe and put it on the positive side of the bus and measure between R, S, and T using the positive probe. The voltage reading should be between 0.2 and 1 volt.

Most importantly, it should be balanced across all three phases.
Then, switch the probe leads and connect the positive lead to the negative side of the bus and measure R, S, and T. If the input readings are within proper range, then check the outputs U, V, and W with the positive probe on the negative side of the bus and the negative probe on U, V, and W accordingly. After verifying, switch the negative probe to the positive side of the bus and measure U, V, and W outputs again to make sure multimeter readings are still within range.
