König Balthasar adds a pin of different color to the Hardau Records map. „Hearts EP“ is a deep and diversified journey into his universe always aiming at transferring his emotions into the minds and – of course - hearts of the crowd. „Heat my Heart“ with its mind-boggling synthesizer-over-bass-triplets drags you on the dancefloor of a foggy club. „Rotate in Circles“ wants to take you out to play in the sunset like a wound up kid. Deo & Z-Man's Remix of „Rotate in Circles“ features an arpeggiated sixteenth-note bass line wich hints towards the classic disco-attitude of Cherrone and Moroder. But the Hamburg based duo add a modern and contemporary edge, as if the legends had all of todays tools and historical perspective at hand. Last but not least, enter Herr Mehr. The ever charming youngster works a 909ish breakbeat in the rave-driven texture of „Heat my Heart“, complemented by some subtle piano work. Think The Prodigy behind a thick layer of valium playing Eric Satie over their greatest hits.
